Does Notion Have Gantt Charts?
By ToolVS Research Team · Last checked April 1, 2026
Notion has a Timeline view that functions similarly to a Gantt chart. It shows date ranges visually, but lacks dependency tracking and critical path analysis.
What We Found
We checked this in April 2026 and here's what we found — Notion's Timeline view lets you visualize projects on a horizontal timeline with start and end dates. You can drag to adjust dates and see overlapping tasks. However, it's not a true Gantt chart — there's no dependency linking, critical path calculation, or resource leveling. For basic project visualization it works, but serious PM needs may require dedicated tools.
Limitations
- ⚠️ No task dependency tracking
- ⚠️ No critical path analysis
- ⚠️ No resource allocation or leveling
- ⚠️ Limited compared to dedicated PM Gantt tools
